All Time Low

All Time Low is an American pop punk band from Towson, Maryland, a suburb of Baltimore, formed in 2003. The band consists of vocalist and rhythm guitarist Alex Gaskarth, lead guitarist and backing vocalist Jack Barakat, bassist and backing vocalist Zack Merrick and drummer Rian Dawson. The band's name is taken from lyrics in the song "Head on Collision" by New Found Glory. The band consistently tours all year long, headlining numerous tours, and has appeared at music festivals including Warped Tour, Reading and Leeds and Soundwave.
Beginning as a high school band, the band released their debut EP The Three Words to Remember in Dealing with the End in 2004 through local label Emerald Moon, and their first album The Party Scene in 2005. While on tour with other bands, they caught the attention of Hopeless Records and signed to them, releasing Put Up or Shut Up EP in 2006 which reached No. 20 on the US Independent Albums chart. All Time Low's second album, So Wrong, It's Right came in 2007 and became an underground success. Despite never reaching any charts or attaining commercial radio play, the album's second single "Dear Maria, Count Me In" was certified RIAA Gold for 500,000 sales in the US in 2011 This was followed-up with 2009's Nothing Personal which debuted at No. 4 on the US Billboard 200 and completely overwhelmed commercial expectations with 63,000 sales in its first week. The CD's lead single, "Weightless," peaked at No. 104 in the US, with second single "Damned If I Do Ya (Damned If I Don't)" being the band's highest charting thus far at No. 67.
All Time Low released their first live album, Straight to DVD, in 2010. In the meanwhile of recording a fourth album, the group contributed the song "Painting Flowers" to the Almost Alice soundtrack. Dirty Work became the band's fourth album, released in 2011 as the band's major label Interscope debut. It reached No. 6 on the Billboard 200 with 45,000 first week sales. Dirty Work has sold 107,000 copies in the US as of October 2012 and was eventually certified Silver by the BPI in the UK for 60,000 shipments. Its lead single "I Feel Like Dancin'" reached No. 113 in the US. The group again toured all year long in support of it. In May 2012, All Time Low announced their departure from Interscope, and put up "The Reckless and the Brave" on their website for a free download. The group's 5th studio album, titled Don't Panic, was released on October 9 through Hopeless Records, as is similarly supported with year-round tours.

Green Day

Green Day is an American punk rock band formed in 1987. The band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist and backing vocalist Mike Dirnt, drummer Tré Cool and guitarist and backing vocalist Jason White, who became a full member after playing in the band as a session and touring guitarist for 13 years. Cool replaced former drummer John Kiffmeyer in 1990, prior to the recording of the band's second studio album, Kerplunk (1992).
Green Day was originally part of the punk scene at the DIY 924 Gilman Street club in Berkeley, California. The band's early releases were from the independent record label Lookout! Records. In 1994, its major label debut Dookie released through Reprise Records became a breakout success and eventually sold over 10 million copies in the U.S. Green Day was widely credited, alongside fellow California punk bands Sublime, Bad Religion, The Offspring and Rancid, with popularizing and reviving mainstream interest in punk rock in the United States.
Green Day's three follow-up albums, Insomniac (1995), Nimrod (1997), and Warning (2000) did not achieve the massive success of Dookie, though they were still successful, with Insomniac and Nimrod reaching double platinum and Warning reaching gold status. The band's rock opera, American Idiot (2004), reignited the band's popularity with a younger generation, selling five million copies in the United States. The band's eighth studio album, 21st Century Breakdown, was released in 2009 which achieved the band's best chart performance to date. In 2012, 21st Century Breakdown was followed up by a trilogy of albums called ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, and ¡Tré! released on September, November and December 2012 respectively.
They are one of the world's best-selling groups of all time, having sold over 75 million albums worldwide. The group has won five Grammy Awards: Best Alternative Album for Dookie, Best Rock Album for American Idiot, Record of the Year for "Boulevard of Broken Dreams", Best Rock Album for the second time for 21st Century Breakdown and Best Musical Show Album for American Idiot: The Original Broadway Cast Recording. In 2010, a stage adaptation of American Idiot debuted on Broadway. The musical was nominated for several Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Scenic Design.

Fall Out Boy Get Murderous In Their New 'Where Did The Party Go' Video

"I'm here to collect your heart," Patrick Stump sings in the opening lines of Fall Out Boy's "Where Did The Party Go." Dude, nobody thought you meant that literally.
In the song's just-released video, a bloody-faced, hook-handed, evil-eyed (but still impeccably dressed) Stump is on the loose, and he's not gonna stop until he gets what he wants -- which is blood, yes, but also a sick dance party.

The video, which is part seven of their "Save Rock and Roll: The Young Blood Chronicles," contrasts the track's upbeat vibe with a horror film thriller. Stump, looking deranged and psychotic in a spooky medical facility, chases the rest of the band (and some shellshocked-looking patients) through one dimly lit corridor and operating room to the next.
Even the murderous villain here is no match, of course, for a sexy nurse, who straps Stump down on a gurney and has her way with him -- sexy nurses being the only force strong enough to combat evil, naturally.
Then, out of nowhere, we're treated to the weirdest zombie dance party since "Thriller." The beat is just that irresistible, we suppose? Whatever -- even psychotic, murderous villains need a break from all that murder stuff every now and then.
But the good times can't last forever, as the song itself implies. By the video's end, Stump's rage reaches its inevitable climax, as he does what probably every singer in the history of rock and roll has wanted to do before him: strangle his guitar player.

Watch Fall Out Boy's "Where Did The Party Go"  video.

Green Day plan break after Soundwave 2014

Punk rockers Green Day are going on hiatus. But don't worry - we won't be seeing yet another festival cancellation. The headlining act for Soundwave 2014 will take a break after their trip down under.
"We're going to Australia, doing a tour there and then we're going to take a break," frontman Billie Joe Armstrong told BBC Radio 2.
“We haven't really been doing much. So it's just nice to kind of do some other things, y'know, when we get ready to do Green Day again, our batteries will be charged.”
The California group shot to mainstream fame with their 1994 album Dookie, which sold more than 10 million copies in the United States alone. They have since released eight successful albums, toured extensively, released a video game and even had their 2004 chart-topping album American Idiot adapted into an award-winning musical.
Last September, in possibly the most punk rock moment of their career, Armstrong appeared to have a meltdown on stage in Las Vegas. Thinking his set had been cut short, he launched into an expletive-laden tirade, smashed his guitar and stormed off stage.
Two days later, the band announced that a worn out Armstrong was receiving treatment for substance abuse (later revealed to be alcohol and pharmaceuticals). Green Day resumed touring and releasing albums after a short break.
Armstrong is currently pursuing a number of music and acting side projects, which he will no doubt focus on during his band's hiatus. He has most recently released a record with Norah Jones, covering songs of the Everly Brothers.
While the band won't be playing any sideshows during their Australian tour, Soundwave promoter AJ Maddah confirmed they will be playing a two-and-a-half hour long set.

Green Day tour dates:

Saturday February 22 - RNA Showgrounds, Brisbane
Sunday February 23 - Olympic Park, Sydney
Friday February 28 - Flemington Racecourse, Melbourne
Saturday March 1 - Bonython Park, Adelaide
Monday March 3 - Claremont Showgrounds, Perth
